What this 1000 A MCCB is built for
The ETU350 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) from 0.5 to 1.0× In and short-time delay (tsd) between 0.04 and 0.4 s, so you can coordinate selectively downstream without nuisance tripping on inrush.
This breaker delivers 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V, and 74 kA at 690 V — those are the ultimate short-circuit breaking capacities (Icu) at each voltage. At 415 V, that 187 kA covers nearly any industrial service entrance or sub-distribution fault level without cascading upstream; the 74 kA at 690 V still handles high-impedance grounded systems and large motor bus faults. The 1000 A frame size with this interrupting rating puts it in the heavy-duty class for high-fault panels.
Thermal derating — don't oversize the enclosure
Rated 1000 A continuous up to 55 °C ambient; at 60 °C it derates to 955 A, at 70 °C to 815 A. If your panel ambient runs 60 °C (common in compact, high-density switchgear), you need to load it at 955 A or less — or step up to the next frame.
Width 210 mm (8.3 in), height 320 mm (12.6 in), depth 120 mm. Front face IP40.
