Motor protection breaker with ETU550M LSI — 630 A, 55 kA @ 415 V
The Siemens 3VA2563-5MP32-0AB0 is a 3-pole motor protection circuit breaker from the 3VA2 IEC frame 1000 series, rated In=630 A with a breaking capacity class M giving Icu=55 kA at 415 V AC. It carries the ETU550M LSI trip unit — that means adjustable overload protection (IR) from 250 A to 630 A, plus two short-circuit protection settings: short-delay (Isd) adjustable 1.2–15 x In, and instantaneous (Ii) adjustable 3–15 x In. The LSI profile lets you coordinate with downstream contactors and upstream feeders in a motor branch circuit, so a fault clears selectively without dropping the whole panel.
Where it lands in the panel
This breaker is designed for busbar connection — it mounts directly onto the panel's main busbar system, not a DIN rail. The two integrated auxiliary changeover switches (1 changeover each) give you a separate status signal for the controller or HMI without adding a side-mount accessory. For a 630 A motor circuit, the frame 1000 footprint and busbar connection keep the installation compact compared to a separate disconnect + fuse + overload relay stack.
