The Siemens 3VA2580-5HN32-0CH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for continuous current of 800 A across a wide ambient temperature window — it holds full rating from 40 °C through 60 °C, then derates to 767 A at 65 °C and 703 A at 70 °C.
Three-pole construction with interrupting ratings of 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and 53 kA at 690 V. At 415 V — the common industrial distribution voltage — 121 kA gives substantial headroom above typical available fault currents, which simplifies coordination studies downstream. The ETU350 electronic trip unit offers adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) from 0.5 to 1.0 x In (400–800 A), short-time pickup (Isd) with adjustable delay (0.04–0.4 s), and instantaneous pickup (Ii) up to 8000 A. That range lets you shape the trip curve to the load: long-time for motor-start inrush, short-time for selective coordination with downstream feeders.
Dimensions: 210 mm wide, 320 mm high, 120 mm deep. Maximum power loss of 135 W at full load needs to be factored into the panel thermal budget; a 800 A breaker dumping that much heat into a sealed cabinet will raise internal ambient above the 60 °C threshold where derating kicks in.
