What this 800 A MCCB delivers
Breaking capacity is the headline: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and 53 kA at 690 V. That kind of interrupting rating means this breaker can sit upstream of a high-fault panel without cascading — it handles the full short-circuit current a large transformer or utility feed can throw at it. Three poles, line-protection version, with an ETU860 electronic trip unit. The ETU860 gives you adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) up to 800 A, short-time pickup and delay (tsd 0.05–0.5 s), and ground-fault monitoring via summation current formation on the L-conductor.
Dimensions: 210 mm wide, 320 mm tall, 120 mm deep. Latching endurance rated at 10 000 operations — that's the mechanical life for the switching mechanism. Not a daily-switch duty cycle, but fine for a distribution feeder that sees infrequent manual operation.
Communication and monitoring
Communication function is present, and the ETU860 supports other measurement functions beyond basic protection — meaning it can report load current, ground-fault levels, and event logs over a communication network. That pulls it into the connected-panel world: you can monitor feeder health from a BMS or SCADA without adding a separate power meter per branch. That's the heat the breaker dumps into the enclosure — factor it into your panel cooling calc, especially if several breakers are stacked in a row.
