The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2580-7KQ42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 800 A continuous current flat from 40 °C through 60 °C before it starts to derate — 767 A at 65 °C, 703 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means you can load it to full nameplate in a 60 °C enclosure without down-rating, which is unusual for a frame this size. The interrupting capacity is the headline: 242 kA at both 240 V and 415 V, dropping to 74 kA at 690 V.
ETU860 release — what it gives you
This breaker ships with the ETU860 electronic trip unit, which gives you adjustable long-time (tr from 0.5 to 25), short-time (tsd from 0.05 to 0.5 s), and instantaneous protection. The N-conductor protection is configurable — OFF, 50%, or 100% of the phase rating — which matters for 4-wire systems where neutral loading isn't symmetrical. Communication function is built in (no external module required), so the breaker can report status and trip events to a higher-level system.
Dimensions are 280 mm wide by 320 mm high by 120 mm deep. That 120 mm depth fits standard wall-mount enclosures with room for rear cabling.
