Siemens 3VA4110-6ED24-1AA0 — SENTRON 2-Pole MCCB, 100 A Frame
The Siemens 3VA4110-6ED24-1AA0 is a 2-pole SENTRON molded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) in the System Protection product version, rated for continuous current of 100 A at 40 °C and carrying a 100 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V. It uses the TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release — a fixed thermal element with adjustable magnetic trip — so the long-time pickup is fixed at 100 A, while the instantaneous magnetic trip is adjustable between 1000 A and 1000 A (fixed at 10x In for this release variant). The interrupting rating steps down with system voltage: 65 kA at 480 V, and 25 kA at 600 Y/347 V, which covers most North American 480/277 V distribution panels and 600 V class industrial feeds.
Thermal Derating and Ambient Performance
The breaker holds its full 100 A rating through 50 °C ambient, then derates linearly: 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 93 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C — useful when the MCCB is mounted in a crowded enclosure or near heat sources. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to +70 °C, with storage from -40 °C to +80 °C; the 15.2 W maximum power loss at rated load should be factored into the enclosure thermal budget.
Dimensions are 129.4 mm high, 50.8 mm wide, and 75.1 mm deep — a 2-inch wide footprint that fits standard MCCB panel cutouts and leaves room for side-by-side mounting on a DIN rail or direct panel mount.
