What this breaker is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA4112-5ED14-3AA0 is a 1-pole UL Frame 125 molded-case circuit breaker rated 125 A continuous, with a 35 kA interrupting capacity at 277 VAC. The TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit is fixed at Ir=125 A overload protection and Ii=10 x In (1250 A) short-circuit protection — no field-adjustable dials, so the BOM line is locked once specified. The M-class breaking capacity (35 kA @ 277 V) means it can safely clear faults up to that level on a 277/480 V panelboard without cascading upstream, which is the usual concern when coordinating a main lug downstream of a larger feeder breaker. This is a Product class C item — manufactured or produced to order, not a stocked shelf good. That means it cannot be returned for credit once ordered, so verify the frame size, pole count, and trip settings against your panel schedule before committing the PO.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Because it is a made-to-order part, availability is not off-the-shelf. We source and quote it against an RFQ through our independent distribution network; current pricing and lead time are confirmed at quote time. The group code P360 and product group 5385 are Siemens internal cataloging fields that help route the order correctly — include them on your RFQ if your procurement system uses them.
Compliance and documentation
RoHS compliant since 13-05-19. REACH Article 33 duty to inform applies: the part contains lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in the current candidate list. Export control is AL: N / ECCN: EAR99 — no special license required for most destinations. The manufacturer provides a Declaration of Conformity and the full compliance file on request; we can attach it to your RFQ response.
