What this breaker is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens 3VA4125-4ED14-3AA0 is a 1-pole circuit breaker from the 3VA4 series, UL Frame 125, rated 25 A continuous with a 25 kA interrupting capacity at 277 V. The 'S' breaking capacity class means it handles fault currents up to 25 kA without upstream cascading — sized for commercial lighting panels and branch circuits where the available fault current stays under that threshold. The TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit gives fixed overload protection at 25 A (Ir permanently set) and short-circuit pickup at 12 times In (Ii = 300 A). That fixed Ir means no field adjustment; what you order is what protects the conductor. Per the datasheet, the 25 kA @ 277 V rating is the maximum short-circuit current the breaker can safely interrupt under a bolted-fault condition. For 480Y/277 V systems, verify the available fault current at the panelboard does not exceed this value — coordination studies typically require this number for series rating compliance.
Lifecycle and compliance
RoHS compliance is confirmed since 13 May 2019. REACH Article 33 disclosure notes the presence of Lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in the current candidate list. Export control classification is AL:N / ECCN:EAR99 — no special licensing required for most destinations.
