What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA4130-5ED24-3AA0 is a 2-pole circuit breaker from the 3VA4 family, built on a UL Frame 125 platform. It's rated for 35 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V AC — that's the M (medium) breaking capacity class, meaning it handles moderate fault levels common in industrial panelboards and motor control centers without needing an upstream current-limiting fuse. The thermal-magnetic trip unit is a TM210 with a fixed overload setting at 30 A (Ir = 30 A permanently set) and a short-circuit pickup at 10× In (Ii = 10 × In = 300 A). That fixed Ir means you don't get an adjustment dial — what you order is what you get, so verify the load current before you spec it.
Compliance and documentation
RoHS compliant since May 13, 2019. REACH Article 33 applies — the part contains lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w, so if you're shipping into a jurisdiction that requires downstream notification, factor that in. Export controls are straightforward: AL N / ECCN EAR99, no special license needed for most destinations.
