The Siemens 3VA4140-5ED24-3AA0 is a 2-pole molded case circuit breaker in the UL Frame 125 footprint, rated 40 A continuous with a 35 kA interrupting capacity at 480 VAC (breaking capacity class M). It uses a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit: the thermal overload is fixed at Ir = 40 A (non-adjustable), and the magnetic short-circuit pickup is fixed at Ii = 10 × In (400 A). This is a line-protection breaker — sized for feeder or branch-circuit duty where the load current is known and fixed, not for adjustable motor-protection applications.
