Ratings and what they mean for fit
The 3VA4145-4ED34-0AA0: The 45 A rating at 40 °C is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping in a 40 °C ambient. As the panel warms, the rating derates: 44 A at 45 °C, 43 A at 50 °C, 42 A at 60 °C, 40 A at 70 °C. If your enclosure runs hot, size up one frame rather than push the trip curve. The TM210 release offers fixed instantaneous pickup at 450 A (10× In) — fine for motor inrush or transformer magnetizing, but not adjustable if you need tighter coordination. Interrupting ratings are the breaker's ability to clear a fault without welding or exploding. 65 kA at 240 V covers most North American 240/120 V panelboards. 25 kA at 480 V is the standard for 480 V distribution in commercial and light industrial. At 600 Y/347 V it still holds 14 kA — enough for 600 V wye systems common in Canadian and some process plants.
Panel integration
Mounts on a DIN rail or direct-panel. 3-pole, 76.2 mm wide (3 in) — standard 3-pole MCCB footprint. Depth 75.1 mm, height 129.4 mm. IP40 front protection keeps dust out of the enclosure face. No neutral conductor provision; no ground-fault monitoring version. No communication function — this is a standalone thermal-magnetic breaker, not a power-metering unit.
