What this breaker is and where it fits
The Siemens 3VA4160-4ED24-3AA0 is a 2-pole molded-case circuit breaker from the 3VA4 family, built on a UL Frame 125 footprint. It's rated for 60 A continuous, with a 25 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V — that's the S breaking capacity class, meaning it clears faults up to that level without upstream fuse support in most panelboard applications. The TM210 trip unit gives you fixed thermal-magnetic protection: overload set permanently at Ir=60 A, short-circuit pickup fixed at Ii=10 x In (600 A). No dials to adjust, no field calibration — what's on the nameplate is what you get. This is a line-protection breaker, sized for feeder or branch circuits where the load is known and fixed. The 2-pole configuration suits single-phase 240 V or two legs of a three-phase 480 V system. The 25 kA @ 480 V rating covers most commercial and light industrial panelboards; if your available fault current runs higher, you'll need a current-limiting upstream device or a higher AIC frame.
Compliance and documentation
RoHS compliant since 13-05-19. REACH Article 33 disclosure applies: the part contains lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in certain components — standard for electrical contacts and solder joints. Export control is AL N / ECCN EAR99, no special license required for most destinations.
