The 3VA4160-4ED34-0AA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded-case circuit breaker rated 60 A continuous at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release that trips instantaneously at 600 A (li min. and max. both set to that value). It breaks 65 kA at 240 VAC and 25 kA at 480 VAC — enough headroom for most 480 V panelboards without cascading upstream. The system protection version means it's built for feeder and main breaker duty, not just branch protection.
At 40 °C ambient it's good for 60 A; push the panel to 70 °C and the continuous rating drops to 53 A. That's a 7 A loss over 30 degrees — plan your enclosure ventilation if the breaker sits near drives or transformers. The 76.2 mm width (3 in) and 75.1 mm depth (3 in) let it land in a standard MCCB slot on a DIN rail or panel-mount base.
Power loss and thermal budget
Maximum power loss is 13.9 W at full rated current. That's modest — about the same as a small relay panel — but in a dense enclosure with multiple breakers, it adds up.
