The interrupting rating of 35 kA at 480 V means it can safely clear a fault current up to that level without welding contacts or rupturing the case — essential for panel coordination where the available fault current is known to be in that range. The overload protection (Ir) is permanently set at 70 A, and the instantaneous short-circuit pickup (Ii) is fixed at 10 × In (700 A), so it's a dedicated line-protection device, not field-adjustable for motor or generator applications.
