What this breaker is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens 3VA4190-6ED34-3AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker in the 3VA4 UL Frame 125 series, rated 90 A continuous (In) with a fixed overload setting (Ir=90 A) and a short-circuit trip set at 10 times In (Ii=10 x In). The 65 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V (class H) means it can safely clear a fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream — that's the number that governs panel SCCR coordination. The TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit gives you a fixed thermal curve for overloads and a magnetic instantaneous pickup for shorts; no field-adjustable dials on the Ir or Ii, so what's on the nameplate is what protects the circuit. This breaker is built to UL 489 standards for North American panelboards and switchboards. The UL Frame 125 designation means it fits standard 125 A frame accessories and bus connections — a direct swap into existing 3VA4 or comparable UL 489 panels without bus rework.
Compliance and export notes
RoHS compliant since 13-05-19. REACH Article 33 applies: the part contains lead (CAS-No. 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in certain components — this is a standard declaration for industrial breakers with lead-bearing alloys in contacts or solder joints. Export control is AL: N / ECCN: EAR99, so no special licensing for most destinations.
Panel integration and handling
Packaged individually, shipping dimensions 472 x 396 x 213 mm. The 3VA4 frame mounts via the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint — bolt-on or plug-in depending on the panel's bus adapter. Verify the line/load lug kit is ordered separately if not included; the breaker ships as a bare unit.
