The 3VA9114-0RS20: The adjustable residual current response value spans 0.03, 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1, 3, and 5 A. That range covers everything from standard 30 mA personnel protection up to 5 A for fire protection or equipment protection on large distribution feeders. The time delay is also adjustable: set values of 0, 0.06, 0.15, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 seconds. A 0-second setting gives instantaneous trip; the longer delays allow selectivity with downstream RCDs. The unit includes a pre-alarm indication at 30% of the set residual current, which lets maintenance catch a degrading insulation condition before the RCD trips the load. Infeed can be from top or bottom, which simplifies busbar routing inside the panel.
