The Siemens 3VA9477-0GX10 is a SENTRON auxiliary switch module with a rotary operator, designed as an accessory for 3VA5 and 3VA6 molded-case circuit breakers (frames 250/400/600 and 150/250/400/600). It provides two leading-to-ON contacts for signalling breaker position to a PLC, HMI, or safety circuit. The module mounts directly onto the breaker's rotary operator mechanism — no separate DIN-rail slot needed, so it keeps the panel layout tight.
The module carries a thermal current (Ith) of 5 A across all poles. For AC control circuits, the AC-12 rating (resistive loads like contactor coils) holds 5 A at 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, 125 V, and 220/240 V. The AC-15 rating (inductive loads — solenoid valves, relay coils) is 2 A at the same voltages. For DC switching, the DC-13 rating (inductive DC loads — brake coils, DC contactors) is 0.2 A at 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, 110 V, and 250 V. That 0.2 A DC-13 limit is the one that catches people out: if your DC pilot circuit draws more than 200 mA, this contact won't hold — you'd need an interposing relay.
Environmental and isolation specs
Surge voltage resistance is 4 kV, which covers the impulse withstand for 400 V line-to-line systems.
