Terminal for 3VA15/3VA25 — torque and wire range
The Siemens 3VA9603-0JC44 is a SENTRON circular conductor terminal designated TA4.4, designed as a wire connector accessory for 3VA15 and 3VA25 molded-case circuit breakers. It accepts four cables in the 120–300 mm² range, with a stranded copper maximum of 600 kcmil and a minimum of 4/0 AWG. The terminal torque for both 120–300 mm² stranded and 120–185 mm² finely stranded copper is 42.4 Nm. Stripped length is 0.9 / 1.75 in. An integral control wire voltage tap-off allows a smaller-gauge sensing or auxiliary circuit to be connected without a separate tap block — useful for metering, shunt-trip monitoring, or remote status feedback on the breaker.
Aluminum and finely stranded compatibility
The terminal also accepts aluminum stranded conductors from 4/0 AWG up to 600 kcmil, and finely stranded copper from 4/0 AWG to 600 kcmil. The torque figure for finely stranded 120–185 mm² is the same 42.4 Nm, simplifying installation across conductor types.
This is a lug-style terminal kit, not a DIN-rail component. It mounts directly onto the 3VA15 or 3VA25 breaker's line or load side. The 42.4 Nm torque is high enough to require a torque wrench; a standard screwdriver will not reach that value.
