The Siemens 3VA9987-0UA10 is a SENTRON EFB300 expansion module that adds one digital input and four outputs — two relay and two static semiconductor — to a 3VA molded-case switch or breaker. It's designed for installation in fixed switchboards inside enclosed rooms, with IP20 protection per IEC 60529. The module draws 0.16 A from the tripping-unit supply and dissipates 4 VA at rated load.
The relay outputs are rated at 6 A at 250 V AC in AC-12 duty (resistive loads) and 3 A at 250 V AC in AC-15 duty (inductive loads like contactor coils). For DC switching, the relays handle 0.2 A at 250 V DC-12 (resistive) and 0.1 A at 250 V DC-13 (inductive). The semiconductor outputs are rated at 5 A at 30 V DC. The module also carries a 6 A AC rating at 250 V for general-purpose output switching.
Input characteristics and wiring
The single digital input operates on SELV/PELV per IEC. Signal <1> recognition threshold is 15 V, with a current draw of 10 mA minimum and 27 mA maximum. Signal <0> recognition is below 5 V, with a maximum leakage current of 0.2 mA. Up to 20 inputs can be connected to the module's input bus; the output side supports up to 8 connected loads. Connections are removable/pluggable terminals.
The module measures 70 mm wide, 116 mm high, and 36 mm deep. The ZSI cable must be flexible, shielded (≥85% overlap), twisted, with max. capacitance 200 nF/km (conductor/shield) and total line resistance ≤28 ohms.
