Siemens SENTRON 3VM1116-3EE32-0AA0 — 160 A MCCB, TM220 Release
The Siemens 3VM1116-3EE32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the SENTRON line, rated 160 A continuous at 40 °C and designed for line protection. The TM220 thermal-magnetic release provides overload and short-circuit protection without undervoltage or ground-fault monitoring. Breaking capacity hits 76 kA at 240 V, 53 kA at 415 V, and 32 kA at 440 V — enough headroom for most industrial secondary-distribution panels. The front face carries IP40 protection, so it's suited for enclosed panel mounting where tools or fingers won't contact live parts.
Thermal Derating and Ambient Range
Full 160 A rating holds from 40 °C through 50 °C. At 55 °C it derates to 158 A, at 60 °C to 155 A, at 65 °C to 153 A, and at 70 °C to 150 A. Operating ambient spans -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 38 W. If the panel runs hot — say a packed enclosure near a furnace line — the 150 A floor at 70 °C still covers most 150 A feeder circuits without upsizing.
Physical Fit and Panel Integration
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. The 3-pole footprint is standard for SENTRON 3VM frames — no surprises on the DIN rail or mounting plate. No communication module, no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring; it's a straight thermal-magnetic breaker. If your BOM calls for a bare MCCB with no auxiliaries, this is the clean drop-in.
