What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VM1132-3ED26-0AA2 is a 2-pole IEC molded-case circuit breaker in the 3VM1 series, built on a 160 A frame but fitted with a 32 A thermal-magnetic trip unit (TM210). It is rated for line protection where load current is fixed at 32 A and short-circuit protection is set at 10× In, non-adjustable. Breaking capacity is 25 kA at 415 V AC (class N), which means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without upstream devices needing to clear the fault — useful for high-fault-capacity industrial mains.
Integration notes
Terminal connection type means it accepts standard lug or busbar connections; the 160 A frame gives mechanical headroom for higher-rated versions in the same panel layout. The fixed thermal setting (Ir = 32 A) and fixed magnetic pickup (Ii = 10 × In) simplify coordination — no dials to mis-set, but also no field adjustment if the load changes.
