The Siemens SENTRON 3VM1180-3ED12-0AA0 is a 1-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 80 A continuous at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release (fixed Ir = 80 A, adjustable Ii = 800 A). It delivers 53 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V AC and 7.5 kA at 415 V AC, making it a fit for high-fault service-entrance or distribution panels where the upstream transformer can deliver heavy short-circuit current.
Above that, it derates gradually: 78 A at 55 °C, 77 A at 60 °C, 75 A at 65 °C, and 74 A at 70 °C.
Mechanical fit and panel integration
Power dissipation at rated load is 6.4 W, so factor that into the enclosure thermal budget.
