MCCB for line protection — 2-pole, 16 A continuous, 76 kA at 415 V
The Siemens SENTRON 3VM1196-4ED22-0AA0 is a 2-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 16 A continuously from 40 °C up to 55 °C and derating to 15 A at 60–70 °C. Its interrupting capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V AC and 76 kA at 415 V AC — enough to clear high-fault scenarios in distribution panels without cascading upstream. The TM210 thermal-magnetic release is fixed, not adjustable, so the 16 A rating is the trip point; the instantaneous magnetic pickup li max is 320 A. Rated insulation voltage is 500 V; max operating voltage is 415 V AC or 250 V DC. Front IP40 keeps dust out of the panel cutout. Current production per lifecycle status.
Physical fit and panel integration
Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 50.8 mm wide, 130 mm high. The 50.8 mm (2-inch) width matches a standard 2-pole MCCB footprint on DIN rail or panel-mount base. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no communication module, no motor drive — this is a bare breaker. Storage range -40 to 80 °C; operating -25 to 70 °C. Maximum power loss 7 W.
