Line protection breaker with a 630 A backbone
The 3VM1463-5ED32-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker built for line protection — the workhorse main breaker in a distribution panel or a big feeder. It holds 630 A continuous from 40 °C to 50 °C without derating, which means it can carry a full 630 A load through a warm electrical room without needing to oversize. The TM210 overcurrent release handles the thermal-magnetic trip curve, so it responds to sustained overloads and short-circuit events in one package — no separate trip unit to source.
Short-circuit ratings that cover the voltage range
At 240 VAC this breaker interrupts 187 kA. At 415 V and 440 V it holds 121 kA, and at 500 V it still manages 76 kA. That gives you selectivity headroom for most industrial services without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage means the internal clearances and creepage are designed for 690 VAC systems — common in heavy industrial or mining distribution.
Panel fit and environmental limits
The breaker measures 110 mm deep, 138 mm wide, and 248 mm tall — a standard MCCB footprint that drops into most SENTRON mounting bases or panel cutouts. Front face carries IP40 protection, so it's fine in a clean indoor panel but not for washdown zones. Operating range spans -25 °C to 70 °C, with storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. Max power loss hits 193 W — account for that heat in the enclosure sizing if you're packing several breakers in a tight cabinet.
