The trip curve is set for motor starting inrush — class 30 allows up to 30 seconds at locked-rotor current before tripping, which covers the acceleration time of high-inertia loads such as centrifuges, crushers, or large fans. The adjustable current range is 100-200 A at 690 V.
The 100-200 A adjustable range covers motor full-load currents in that band — typically a 55-110 kW motor at 400 V, depending on efficiency and power factor. The 690 V rating means it can be used on 400 V and 690 V line-to-line systems without derating the interrupting capacity. The class 30 electronic trigger provides a wider thermal memory than a standard bimetal trip, so it handles repetitive starts without nuisance tripping. The 13 x I in setting means the magnetic short-circuit pickup is fixed at 13 times the set current (2600 A at the 200 A setting), which avoids tripping on normal motor inrush while clearing a bolted fault.
