The Siemens 3VU9131-7AA00 is an accessory module for the 3VS13 and 3VS16 signaling switches, providing one normally-open and one normally-closed auxiliary contact set. It mounts directly on the switch body to extend the signaling capability — useful when the base switch's own contacts are already consumed by the main circuit, or when you need a separate signal path back to the PLC for status feedback.
This part carries a lifecycle status of NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). It is still available for existing BOM lines and maintenance spares, but new panel designs should consider the current-production alternatives in the 3VS accessory family.
