It sits in a DC link to reduce ripple current and limit di/dt on the bus — common in drive or power supply circuits where the rectifier feeds an inductive load. The 600 V operating voltage covers most 400 VAC three-phase rectified DC buses with headroom. Rated for 40 °C ambient with thermal class B insulation (IEC 60085), so it handles a 130 °C hot-spot limit without derating at that ambient.
