What it is and what it does
The Siemens SIDAC 4EM5113-3CB00 is a single-phase smoothing choke — a DC link inductor — rated for 34 A maximum DC current with a continuous rated current of 30.6 A at 600 V DC. Its 1.4 mH inductance smooths current ripple in DC bus circuits, typically after a rectifier or before an inverter drive. The 29 W total power loss (28 W coil, 1 W iron core) tells you the thermal load to manage in the enclosure.
Where it goes and what to watch
IP00 means it's an open-frame component — no dust or splash protection. In a cement plant or any dusty environment, it must live inside a sealed cabinet; the grit will eat exposed windings. Screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded copper; strip length and torque follow standard practice for the wire gauge the 34 A path demands. The 0.129 m depth, 0.097 m width, and 0.111 m height fit a modest panel footprint, but the 29 W dissipation needs airflow or a heatsink if ambient hits 40 °C (the rated ambient).
