It sits between the supply and the drive, smoothing line harmonics and limiting current spikes. Rated 500 V AC at 50 Hz, it handles a maximum continuous current of 8 A and a rated operational current of 7.2 A.
The 8 A maximum current (Ithmax) sets the thermal limit for continuous duty at 40 °C ambient — derate above that. The 7.2 A rated operational current (I LN) is the figure to match against your drive's input current draw; if the drive pulls more than 7.2 A at full load, step up to the next choke size. The 23 W coil loss plus 11 W iron loss (34 W total) is dissipated as heat in an IP00 open frame — the choke needs free air or forced ventilation inside the panel; do not box it in tight. Class B insulation (130 °C) per IEC 60085 means the winding can handle typical drive-side thermal stress without accelerated aging.
IP00 open construction mounts inside a panel on a flat surface via its own mounting feet (dimensions: 0.124 m wide, 0.122 m tall, 0.073 m deep). Connections are screw-type terminals with tab terminals for the main circuit.
