Its job is to smooth current harmonics, limit inrush, and protect the drive's rectifier from line-side transients — a standard fit for any 3-phase AC drive input. Rated at 9.9 A continuous with a maximum of 11 A. Rated operating voltage is 460 V AC, 50/60 Hz.
Thermal and environmental constraints
Ambient temperature rating is 40 °C with thermal class B insulation (130 °C hot-spot) per IEC 60085. This is the standard industrial temperature class; the choke can be mounted inside a ventilated enclosure without forced cooling as long as the ambient stays at or below 40 °C. Above that, derating applies — but the datasheet does not provide a derating curve, so the safe approach is to keep the enclosure ambient under 40 °C or provide airflow. Total power loss is 45.1 W in the coil and 6 W in the iron core. Protection class is IP00 — no enclosure. This is normal for a panel-mounted choke; it must be installed inside a cabinet that provides the required touch protection and environmental sealing. The screw-type terminals accept standard ring or fork lugs for the main power wiring.
