What this reactor does in a panel
The SIDAC 4EP3901-3MS00 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 480 V AC at 60 Hz, carrying a continuous rated current of 15.6 A with a maximum of 17.3 A. The 7 % relative throttling factor and 0.0037 H inductance shape the harmonic profile at the line input; the 227 Hz resonant frequency means it traps the 5th harmonic (300 Hz on a 60 Hz fundamental) and attenuates higher-order ripple. Reactive power of the filter bank is 12.5 kvar. Thermal class B (130 °C rise) per IEC 60085 keeps the winding temperature within limits at the rated 40 °C ambient. Power loss runs 73.6 W at full load — plan for that heat inside the enclosure.
Mounting and integration
IP00 means no enclosure protection — this reactor must be mounted inside a panel or cabinet that provides the environmental seal. Dimensions are 0.219 m wide × 0.179 m high × 0.123 m deep; the footprint fits a standard backplate, but the 0.123 m depth eats into the gland-plate clearance. Terminals are screw-type and tab connections on the main circuit — torque to the manufacturer's spec for the lug size you choose. No DIN-rail clip; it bolts directly to the mounting surface.
