What it is and what it does
The SIDAC 4EP4001-7MS00 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 13.8 A continuous current at 400 V AC, 50 Hz. It provides a 14 % relative throttling factor and delivers 10 kvar of reactive power to the filter bank. The 0.0083 H inductance and 134 Hz resonant frequency are tuned for harmonic mitigation in power-factor-correction or drive-input circuits. Thermal class B (130 °C rise) per IEC 60085 means the winding insulation handles sustained operation at 40 °C ambient without accelerated aging.
Mounting and integration
IP00 rating means the reactor is an open-frame component — no enclosure, no touch protection. It must be mounted inside a panel or cabinet that provides the environmental seal. Dimensions are 0.219 m wide by 0.179 m tall by 0.143 m deep. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept field wiring; plan for adequate bending radius around the connections. The 87 W power loss at full load must be dissipated — verify panel ventilation or forced-air cooling if the cabinet is densely packed.
