Rated for 72 A continuous with a maximum of 80 A at 500 V AC, 50/60 Hz, it provides 0.36 mH inductance per phase and a 3% relative inductive voltage drop at rated current.

The 72 A rated current (80 A max) and 500 V AC operating voltage match the input of a 37–45 kW drive on a 400 V class supply, depending on load profile. The 0.36 mH inductance, together with the 3% voltage drop, is sized to limit inrush current and reduce harmonic distortion to within typical drive manufacturer recommendations (3–5% line impedance). IP00 open-frame construction means this choke is intended for installation inside an electrical enclosure — not in a washdown or outdoor location.
