Output reactor for variable-frequency drives
The Siemens SIDAC 4EP4300-0US00 is a 3-phase output reactor rated for a maximum AC current of 34 A at 120 Hz and a rated operational current of 30.6 A. Its 0.00025 H inductance and 3 kHz switching frequency are sized to protect motor windings and cable insulation from reflected-wave voltage spikes on long drive-to-motor runs. Mounts via screw terminals (IP00 enclosure), so it lands inside a panel or cabinet — not on the machine itself. The thermal class B insulation (130 °C rise) and 76 W coil loss plus 54.7 W iron-core loss mean the reactor sheds about 131 W total at full load; plan for that heat in the enclosure's ventilation budget.
Integration considerations
At 0.26 m wide, 0.22 m tall, and 0.12 m deep, the reactor occupies a compact footprint for its 34 A rating. Screw-type main-circuit terminals accept standard power wiring; no special lug kit required. Rated for a 40 °C ambient with thermal class B insulation. If the enclosure ambient exceeds 40 °C, derate the continuous current per the manufacturer's thermal curve — the 30.6 A rated operational current is the baseline at that temperature.
