What this reactor does on a drive line
The Siemens SIDAC 4EP4300-5MS00 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 28.9 A continuous with a 32.1 A maximum, at 400 V AC, 50 Hz.
Fit and mounting — IP00 means panel, not floor
IP00 protection class means this reactor has no enclosure — it's a bare core-and-coil assembly meant for inside a metal cabinet, away from washdown spray and conductive dust. The 0.267 m width and 0.221 m height fit a standard 600 mm deep enclosure, and the 0.12 m depth leaves room for the fan plenum or bus bars behind it. Terminals are screw-type and tab connections for the main circuit, so you'll need a lug kit or ring terminals sized for the 28.9 A feed.
Thermal class and power loss
Thermal class B per IEC 60085 means the winding insulation is good for a 130 °C hot-spot rise. At 40 °C ambient and full rated current, the reactor sheds 102 W of heat into the cabinet — factor that into your enclosure cooling calculation. The reactive power of the filter bank is rated at 20 kvar, which lines up with the 7% detuning for a typical 30–50 kVA drive.
