Mains Choke for Variable-Frequency Drives
The Siemens 4EU2452-4UA00-0AA0 is a three-phase mains choke (line reactor) designed for installation ahead of a frequency converter. It carries an 80 A maximum current rating and a 0.35 mH inductance, sized for 400/480 V AC supplies at 50 or 60 Hz.
Rated operational current is 72 A, with a thermal maximum of 80 A. Total power loss splits between the coil (123 W) and the iron core (37 W), so 160 W of heat must be dissipated into the enclosure; IP00 means no enclosure of its own, so panel airflow must handle that thermal load. Flat-type terminals accept busbar or cable lug connections — not spring-cage or screw-clamp. Verify the terminal aperture against your lug width before panel layout.

Footprint is 0.225 m wide by 0.147 m deep by 0.21 m tall. Mounting clearances should follow Siemens standard practice for reactors: minimum 100 mm to adjacent components on all sides for natural convection cooling, given the 160 W dissipation.
