What this reactor does in the line
The SIDAC 4EU2532-0MG08-0AA0 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 49.2 A continuous with a 54.6 A maximum, at 480 V AC, 60 Hz. It delivers 40 kvar of reactive power and 1.2 mH inductance with a 7% relative throttling factor — meaning it's sized to limit harmonic current and voltage notching for a drive or UPS input, not just smooth DC ripple. The 227 Hz resonant frequency places the trap below the 5th harmonic (300 Hz at 60 Hz fundamental), so it knocks down the 5th and 7th harmonics that cause the most motor heating and capacitor stress. Thermal class H (180 °C) insulation gives headroom for continuous full-load operation at 40 °C ambient without derating.
Physical fit and terminals
Footprint is 0.225 m wide by 0.21 m tall, 0.16 m deep — it's a panel-mount block, not DIN-rail. IP00 means no enclosure; it's intended for a ventilated cabinet where the reactor's own heat (class H) can convect away. Main circuit connections are flat connector / screw-type terminals, so you'll need bus bars or ring-lug cable lugs sized for the 49.2 A continuous path.
