What the ratings mean for fit
The 4EU2551-5UA00-0A: Rated 225 A continuous with a 250 A ceiling — that's the thermal limit at 40 °C ambient, Class H insulation (185 °C hot-spot). If your drive's continuous input current is under 225 A and the peak doesn't exceed 250 A, this choke will survive the route. The 2% voltage drop at rated current is the sweet spot for most general-purpose VFD applications; it's enough inductance to smooth the line notches without dropping so much voltage that the drive undervolts on a sag. IP00 means it's an open-frame component — no enclosure. It's meant to live inside a panel or drive cabinet, not out on the wet floor. The flat-type terminals (flat connectors) accept bus bar or heavy cable lugs; plan your panel wiring accordingly.
Panel integration notes
The dimensions are 0.225 m wide, 0.21 m tall, and 0.176 m deep — about a 9 by 8 by 7-inch block. That's a substantial reactor; it needs dedicated panel space and structural support, not just a DIN rail clip. The flat-type terminals are sized for bolted connections; torque them to the lug manufacturer's spec. Mount it close to the drive input to minimize radiated noise from long unshielded cable runs between choke and drive.
