What this reactor does in the drive line
The SIDAC 4EU2732-0DD08-0BA0 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 42.8 A continuous with a 47.5 A maximum, designed to sit between the drive and the motor or the line supply and the drive. Its 690 V AC operating voltage and 50 Hz rating match standard European industrial mains. The 7 % relative throttling factor means it drops roughly 7 % of line voltage at rated current — enough to limit harmonic distortion and reduce dv/dt stress on motor windings without excessive voltage loss. The 0.0023 H inductance and 189 Hz resonant frequency are tuned for typical PWM drive output, not 50 Hz line filtering alone. At 205 W power loss at full load, this reactor dissipates heat into the enclosure. IP00 means no housing — it needs to be mounted inside a panel with adequate ventilation or forced air, not in a washdown or dust-tight cabinet. Thermal class H (180 °C insulation) gives headroom for the internal temperature rise above the 40 °C ambient rating.
Sizing and fit for a 690 V drive line
Mounting footprint: 0.27 m wide, 0.248 m tall, 0.187 m deep. Screw/flat-type terminals for main circuit; 50 kvar reactive power handling. This is not a DIN-rail component. It bolts directly to the panel structure. The IP00 rating means the installer must maintain clearance to grounded metal and provide finger-safe shrouding if the panel is accessible to non-skilled personnel.
