What this reactor does on the line
The SIDAC 4EU2732-8MA08-1BA0 is a 3-phase filter reactor rated for 59 A continuous with a 65.8 A maximum, at 525 V AC, 50 Hz. Its 0.0013 H inductance and 7 % relative throttling factor are tuned for harmonic mitigation on motor drives or power-factor-correction banks — the 189 Hz resonant frequency sits well below typical PWM carrier bands, so it attenuates the 5th and 7th harmonics without coupling into the fundamental. The 50 kVAR reactive power rating tells you the capacitor bank it can sit in front of. This is a line-side reactor, not a load-side choke — install it between the supply and the drive or capacitor contactor, not on the motor output.
Integration and mounting
IP00 means no enclosure — it's an open-frame component for inside a panel. Mount it on a grounded metal backplate with clearance around the ventilation paths. The screw/flat-type terminals accept lug or bus-bar connections; torque to the manufacturer's spec for the main circuit current path. Dimensions are 0.27 m wide by 0.248 m tall by 0.187 m deep. Verify the gland plate and bus-bar routing against those numbers before cutting the backplate.
Thermal and environmental limits
Rated for 40 °C ambient with Class H insulation (180 °C thermal class per IEC 60085). That gives headroom for the internal temperature rise from the 59 A load current. If the panel ambient runs above 40 °C, derate the continuous current — Class H buys you margin, but the 65.8 A maximum is still the hard ceiling.
