Mains choke for variable-frequency drives
The Siemens 4EU3052-4UB00-0AA0 is a three-phase mains choke (line reactor) designed for the input side of variable-frequency drives. The 2% drop reduces harmonic distortion and limits inrush current without dropping so much voltage that the drive DC bus starves under load. The IP00 enclosure means it's an open-frame component — mount it inside a panel or cabinet that provides the physical and electrical protection. Connections are via flat-type terminals, sized for lug or bus-bar terminations typical of high-current power paths.
Power loss and thermal class
Total power loss splits into 216 W in the coil and 129 W in the iron core at rated load and 40 °C ambient. Thermal class H (IEC 60085) means the insulation system withstands 180 °C hot-spot temperature — headroom for sustained high current in a warm enclosure. The 40 °C ambient rating is the baseline; derate for higher ambient or forced-air cooling requirements.
