What this SIDAC output reactor does
The Siemens SIDAC 4EU3652-0EC00-4BA0 is a 3-phase AC output reactor rated for 60 A maximum continuous current and 0.3 mH inductance, designed to sit between a variable-frequency drive and the motor. Its job is to limit the rate of voltage rise (dV/dt) from the drive's PWM output and reduce reflected-wave peaks on long cable runs — protecting motor winding insulation and extending bearing life. The 8 kHz switching frequency rating matches the typical carrier frequency of modern IGBT drives; running a higher carrier without derating risks core saturation and excessive heating. Power loss is 76 W in the coil and 243 W in the iron core at full rated load. IP00 open-chassis design requires free airflow.
Lifecycle status is mature. No successor has been issued. Flat-type terminals for bus-bar or cable-lug connection.
Dimensions are 0.35 m wide by 0.32 m tall by 0.22 m deep. Flat-type terminals accept bus-bar or compression lugs.
