Sizing and fit — what the ratings mean

The 360 A rated current (400 A max) is the continuous thermal current (Ith) at 45 °C ambient. For a 3-phase converter feeding a motor load, this choke can handle the full rated current of a drive in that current class. The 490.1 A DC rating means it also carries the DC-link current if used on the DC side — useful if you are repurposing it as a DC link choke, though the primary application is AC line side.
