It handles 560 A maximum continuous current at 690 V AC, 50 Hz, with a rated inductance of 0.084 mH and a relative inductive voltage drop of 4% at rated current. Thermal class H (180 °C) insulation per IEC 60085 gives headroom for sustained operation at the 40 °C ambient rating.
The 560 A maximum rating is the thermal limit under the listed conditions — the choke can carry this continuously without exceeding the temperature rise of the H-class insulation. The 504 A rated value is the nominal current at which the 4% inductive voltage drop is specified. For a 690 V drive line, this choke introduces about 27.6 V drop at rated load, which is typical for a 4% impedance reactor. The DC rating of 686.2 A applies when the choke is used in a DC link circuit — higher than the AC rating because there is no skin effect or core heating from AC ripple. For a 3-phase 690 V converter pulling 500 A continuous, this choke is correctly sized; a 560 A drive would push the choke to its thermal limit.
Physical integration and connections
Dimensions: 0.41 m wide, 0.385 m tall, 0.229 m deep. Main current circuit uses flat-type connectors. IP00 rating requires mounting inside a clean, dry enclosure. Power loss totals 375 W in the coil and 220 W in the iron core.
