The Siemens 5SJ4106-6HG40 is a 1-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with a B tripping characteristic, rated 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2.
On a motor branch feeding a small pump or fan, a C-curve would be a better fit; this B-curve is meant for the control panel's general-purpose power distribution, not for starting induction motors. That dual rating means it coordinates cleanly with upstream SENTRON selective main breakers in a typical 400 V distribution board. Rated for 400 V AC and 60 V DC, so it handles single-phase branch circuits on a 400/230 V three-phase system. The DC rating at 60 V covers battery-backed control circuits and small DC bus feeds — not for traction batteries or 110 V DC substation auxiliaries. That's a step above a residential-grade breaker.
IP20 with conductors connected; IP40 in the handle range. That's fine inside a closed panel — no special gasketing needed. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction, so it won't outgas corrosive compounds in a sealed cabinet near sensitive electronics or relays.
