What this 1-pole C-curve MCB does on the rail
The Siemens 5SJ4114-7HG40 is a SENTRON 5SJ4 miniature circuit breaker — one pole, C characteristic, built for branch-circuit protection in 50 Hz panels. Rated 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 at 400 V AC; that covers most industrial panel fault levels up to that threshold. Single-module width (18 mm) snaps onto standard DIN rail, any mounting position.
Combined terminals top and bottom (no tunnel terminals), so you can fork or pin the conductor. Terminal torque spec: 3.5 Nm for Cu conductors rated 60/75 °C. Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free — relevant for food, pharma, or clean-room panels where outgassing or tamper-proofing matters. IP20 with conductors connected; IP40 in the handle area.
