The Siemens 5SJ4115-8HG40 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker from the SENTRON 5SJ4 series, designed for branch-circuit overcurrent protection in industrial control panels and mechanical-engineering equipment. At 40 °C ambient it carries a full 1.6 A continuously; derate to 1.3 A at 60 °C if the panel runs hot.
Snaps onto a standard DIN rail (35 mm) and occupies one modular width (18 mm), so it fits a standard 18 mm slot in a distribution board or enclosure. The combined terminal at top and bottom accepts copper conductors; tighten to 3.5 Nm. Mount in any position — no derating needed for orientation.
IP20 with connected conductors (IP40 in the handle area) means it's protected against solid objects >12 mm but not against water ingress; install inside a sealed enclosure in wet areas. Vibration resistance tested to 50 m/s² over 25–150 Hz, covering typical machine-mounted conditions.
