Rated for 35 A, D-curve, on a 2-pole footprint
The Siemens 5SJ4235-8HG41 is a 2-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated for 35 A continuous at 400 V AC, with a D tripping characteristic — meaning it tolerates the inrush of motor and transformer loads without nuisance tripping, then clears fast on a hard fault. Breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2, so it handles fault currents up to that level without welding contacts or cascading failure upstream. Snaps onto standard DIN rail (35 mm), occupies 2 width units (36 mm wide), and accepts wiring from any direction — top or bottom feed, no tunnel-terminal restriction. The combined terminal design accepts Cu conductors at 60/75 °C with a tightening torque of 3.5 Nm.
Mounts in any position, ambient range -25 to +55 °C operating, -40 to +75 °C storage. Vibration resistance is 50 m/s² at 25 to 150 Hz and 60 m/s² at 35 Hz (4 s), so it holds up in industrial machinery and transportable equipment. Sealable design allows the panel builder to lock the handle position or cover after commissioning, preventing unauthorized reset or tampering on a critical line.
