The 5SJ4330-8HG42: D-curve trips between 10x and 20x In, purpose-sized for motor and transformer inrush – it avoids nuisance tripping on startup surge without delaying the short-circuit clearance time materially.
DIN-rail mounting & space
Terminals – combined top and bottom – accept Cu conductors up to the 3.5 Nm torque spec. No separate neutral switch; uses the busbar for shared neutral on 3-phase circuits.
Environment & vibration
Rated –40 to 75 °C ambient, so it can sit in an unconditioned roof space or a freezer plant without derating. Vibration resistance of 50 m/s² (25–150 Hz) and 60 m/s² (35 Hz, 4 sec) covers most rotating machinery floors. IP20 with conductors connected, IP40 in the handle area – sufficient for panel interiors; a separate door seal isn't needed.
