What this 1 A C-curve MCB is for
It protects final circuits against overload and short-circuit, breaking up to 6 kA under EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. Rated 240 V AC and 60 V DC, it covers single-phase lighting and control circuits on the AC side and DC control loops up to 60 V.
The 1 A rating governs conductor protection: it's sized for circuits drawing under 1 A continuous, like a small control transformer secondary or a single instrument loop. The C-curve (5-10x In) gives enough headroom to avoid tripping on the magnetizing inrush of a 24 V DC power supply or a contactor coil. Breaking capacity of 6 kA at 230/400 V matches typical domestic and light commercial panel fault levels. If your point-of-supply SCCR exceeds 6 kA, you'll need an upstream current-limiting device or a higher-rated breaker. The insulation voltage of 440 V AC covers the 400 V three-phase systems it might see in multi-pole configurations.
Mechanical and environmental limits
Rated for 20 000 mechanical switching cycles typical — adequate for a branch-circuit protector that sees infrequent operation. Vibration resistance tested to 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz and 60 m/s² at 10–150 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6, so it holds up on machinery panels near motors or conveyors. The sealable design allows a lock or tag to prevent unauthorized operation — useful for safety-lockout procedures.
